On what does the size of waves in the Adriatic depend?
Waves develop generally as a result of wind. The larger the area on which a wind blows, the larger the waves that develop are. Their strength depends on the shape of the coast and its exposure to the open sea. The height of Adriatic waves is between 0.5 m and 1.5 m, and only rarely do they exceed 5 m.
