What are Croatia's six largest natural lakes?
Of the six largest Croatian lakes the largest is Lake Vransko near Biograd, covering 30.2 km2. The second largest is Lake Prokljansko with an area of 11.5 km2, followed by Lake Vransko on the island Cres with 5.8 km2, Lake Kopačko with 1.3 to 3.5 km2. In the Plitvica Lakes system there are 16 lakes with a total area of 1.9 km2, while the Bačina Lakes are made of 6 lakes with a total area of 1.4 km2.
